An electronic cigarette, e-cigarette or vaporizer cigarette, is a battery-powered device that provides inhaled doses of nicotine or non-nicotine vaporized solution. It is an alternative to smoked tobacco products, and is being used since several years ago to help to smoke quitters . According to a letter of Transportation Secretary Ray Lahood , the use on airplanes is now prohibited and the Department of Transportation is about to issue an official ban this coming spring. But controversy arises because of different types of e-cigs, not every affecting to second hand smokers.
