«The idea of making the AsMA annual meeting slide presentations available in PDF format come true. The ASMA International Activities Committee strongly supported this activity due to the following reasons:

a) It was difficult for some International members to be at the AsMA annual meeting due to financial circumstances….


b) Many International members have language difficulties which are compounded when listening to time compressed presentations. They would benefit from reviewing the slides later at a more leisurely pace.

c) Annual meeting attendees generally miss a large number of presentations due to scheduling conflicts; that is, numerous paper/panel sessions and the Posters exhibitions that they would like to attend may be scheduled concurrently. The ability for members to review archived PDF presentations after the meeting would thus be another worthwhile benefit for all (not only International) members. It is anticipated that such an on-line archive would prove to be a very popular and therefore much visited area of the AsMA website.
